Realtime results from Twitter search – Could Google take a cue?
Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008I just received the latest newsletter from Twitter, written by co-founder Biz Stone. In it he mentions that the Twitter search (which used to be Summize) updates dynamically. If new Tweets on the topic you have searched for are posted after you did the search, the search results page will continue to update. As it says on the search results page, “Realtime results from twitter”. I just checked it out and and every few seconds it notified me of several new search results.
When I first saw this, my first thought was that Google might want to think about incorporating this feature. Whereas most Google search results won’t update quite as fast Twitter does, but still… it could be cool.
